Take the opportunity to fully immerse yourself and deepen your practice with international teacher Annie Carpenter during a full weekend in Stockholm.
Join us for an inspiring weekend of intelligent and embodied yoga. Through creative asana, clear anatomy and thoughtful reflection, you’ll build strength, mobility and a deeper sense of balance - from your feet all the way to your center.
Schedule:
15 May 2026, 17.00–19.30 Secure the Base: Healthy Feet in Yoga Asana For teachers and dedicated students: We will examine the 3 primary arches of the feet and how they feed the ankles, shins and knees. We’ll practice both seated and standing poses, and examine healthy shifting of weight in all directions. Variations in body types and typical problems will be addressed. Healthy feet keep us moving!
16 May 2026, 09.30–12.30 Deep Hips: Practice for Happy and Healthy Hips For teachers and dedicated students: Let’s move our hips in all directions and explore our imbalances and asymmetries with an eye to creating our own personal balance. A mix of strong asana and deep releasing will give us strength and a feeling of openness.
16 May 2026, 14.30–17.00 Side-bending for Length and Stability For teachers and dedicated students: Side-bending is all too rare in Yoga; because it’s complicated! Let’s break down the work from below and above and find the sweet spot for our low backs, side waists and abdomens. Make no mistake this is deep core work, at its best.
17 May 2026, 10.30–13.00 The Central Channel: The Yogi’s Essential Challenge For teachers and dedicated students: Standing tall and upright is called Mountain, Tadasana; but also SamaSthithi, which means equal standing, or balanced steadiness or stillness. Every pose we do has a bit of this in it; and every pose asks us to be aware of how to Return to Tadasana, essentially how to Return to Center. This will be a deep, thought provoking and strong, centering practice that will move you from the outer layers of your practice and body to innermost sense of who you are.
17 May 2026, 15.00–17.00 Living the Continuum: Pratipaksha Bhavanam For teachers and dedicated students: lecture and brief meditation. Let’s conclude our weekend with an essential philosophical component, Cultivating the Opposite. Get the details on where it comes from, and why it matters. Then we’ll look at how to apply it our Asana practice and teaching; and ultimately how to live this powerful, insightful and gratitude inducing tenet. We’ll close with a sweet meditation.
